  • Registered Nurse — For Summer and Maternity Coverage through October 2019

    Kingsley Montessori is in search of a Registered Nurse for the summer program and to cover the maternity leave period of our current school nurse through October 2019. This is a full-time position starting in June 2019.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Maintain appropriate data and record keeping, to include yearly physicals, immunizations, medication administration plans, emergency action plans and obtain parental consent forms when necessary.
    • Administer and/or supervise the administration of prescription medication to students.
    • Coordinate care for students attending off campus events.
    • Serve as a resource to staff for medical/health related purposes involving students.
    • Identifies abnormal health findings when making a nursing assessment
    • Develops and implements a student health plan
    • Interprets the health status of students to parents and school personnel as necessary.
    • Maintains, evaluates and interprets cumulative health data to accommodate individual needs of students
    • Provides for emergency nursing management for injuries/illnesses
    • Assists in the control of communicable diseases
    • Documents all student interactions within the electronic health record.
    • Assumes other general related responsibilities as may be assigned.
    • Adheres to the adopted policies of Kingsley Montessori School.

    QUALIFICATIONS OF PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
    • Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse
    • CPR & First Aid Certification
    • Prior experience in pediatrics preferred
    • Possess a high-level of interpersonal skills, general pleasant demeanor and respectful attitude towards all members of our community
    • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty to enhance student wellness and achieve common goals
    • Commitment to best practices in clinical nursing

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Kingsley Montessori is in search of a Co-Lead Teacher to cover the maternity leave period of one Kindergarten Entry Program Co-Lead Teacher. Co-­Lead Teachers are responsible for all aspects of their students’ classroom experience as well as for partnerships with parents, professional and personal growth, collegiality, and administrative duties. All teachers attend regular meetings, observe, advise, and serve as a mentor and role model to other faculty in Montessori methodology, curriculum management, classroom schedules, record keeping, student needs, and the classroom environment. Co-­Lead Teachers report to Kingsley’s Director of Lower Elementary.

    QUALIFICATIONS OF PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
    • BA/BS degree
    • Minimum of 3-­5 years teaching experience
    • AMS/AMI teaching credential

Assistant Teachers assist and work closely under the direction of the Lead Teachers in the Lower Elementary classrooms. Lower Elementary Assistant Teachers, along with the Lead Teachers, are responsible for the daily well being of their students’ classroom experience, as well as partnerships with parents, collegiality, and administrative duties. All teachers attend regular meetings and attend to student needs, classroom schedules, record keeping, preparing the classroom environment, and curriculum management. Assistant Teachers report to Kingsley’s Director of Lower Elementary.
