The position of Teaching Intern is a unique opportunity for college students and adults interested in education or a career change to teaching. We are searching for responsible, diligent and conscientious individuals with good communication skills, a commitment to professional growth, and interest in teaching and education fields. Kingsley is seeking a Teaching Intern to join our Elementary (grades 1-6) program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Boston’s premier independent schools. Teaching Interns work directly with students under the supervision of professional teachers. Teaching Interns will be responsible for daily duties including monitoring students during lunch periods, between classes, recess, on field trips, and during dismissal. As a Teaching Intern, you will work alongside the professional teachers to facilitate aspects of the students’ classroom experience by transitioning students to and from Co-Curricular classes, helping maintain classroom schedules, and helping to prepare the classroom environment for lessons by getting materials ready. There is potential opportunity for Teaching Interns to lead extracurricular classes as part of their internship program. Teaching Interns report to the Directors of Education at Kingsley.
