Starting at age four, Kingsley students meet weekly with Kingsley’s
Physical Education instructors to begin their learning of life-long
habits of personal well-being and health. Spatial awareness, locomotor
movements, introductory sports and gymnastic skills keep our young
children happy in motion.
Lower and Upper Elementary students meet twice a week for Physical
Education classes. One hour is devoted to swim lessons, and the
second is for teaching skills in sports, gymnastics, body control
and awareness, sportsmanship, and rules and strategies for teamwork.
Kingsley uses local athletic facilities, including MIT’s
athletic center, for all its classes.
Through our health and wellness curriculum for grades 1-6, we explore
nutrition, growth and development, the value of physical activity
and safety.
