Our Library program supports the curriculum and educational programs
of the Preschool and Elementary, serving toddlers through Upper
Elementary students and supporting the work of the professional
staff. Parent resources also are available through the Kingsley
libraries.
The Library program help our students expand their base of knowledge
and provides meaningful lessons in the use and practices of a library.
Students learn to locate resources, both on the shelves and electronically,
and to conduct research to deepen their understanding of particular
topics. Classroom teachers and Kingsley’s Literacy/Library
Specialist guide the students in their investigations.
The libraries at Kingsley also are places to relax, enjoy a picture
book or a novel, and hear favorite stories come alive. Students
and teachers are welcome to use the libraries throughout the day.
The school Literacy/Library Specialist is available to help the
Kingsley community select appropriate resources and to capture the
magic of literature through scheduled library classes.
