Kingsley students enjoy the music, art, drama, dance, history,
myths and legends of different cultures through our popular Cultural
Enrichment Program. Throughout the year, special assemblies feature
guest artists from around the world. These artists specialize in
communicating with children. Enriching us with traditional art forms,
these storytellers, puppeteers, dancers, illustrators, authors and
multi-cultural theatrical performances inspire us with energy and
good will.
The Cultural Enrichment Committee (CEC) of the Kingsley Montessori
Parents and Teachers Association sponsors the Cultural Enrichment
Program. Each year, the CEC meets with Kingsley’s Arts Coordinator
to arrange for guest performers who will enhance the themes studied
in classrooms throughout the school. Many performances involve the
whole Kingsley community; others are designed specifically for the
developmental stages of the early childhood or elementary years.
Parents and friends of the community are welcome to attend these
rewarding cultural assemblies.
