Preschool Program


Please note that the Preschool Summer Program is for children ages 3-5. All children MUST be toilet trained in order to attend the Summer Program.

Art in Action”  Jun 26 - Jun 30

Art in Action teaches kids the skills to know who they are, what they believe, and how to express it, empowering them to create change in their world. Ongoing responses to empowering workshops will take the form of art, technology, and aesthetic expression, creating expressive responses and proactive messaging for the surrounding community.

 

Explore Boston” Jul 5 - Jul 7

This new 3-day program will give students the opportunity to learn Boston by walking the Freedom Trail, exploring Science by the Charles River with a picnic, and visiting the Boston Public Library.

 

Storytime Exploration” Jul 10 - Jul 21, Jul 24 - Aug 4, Aug 7 - Aug 18

Storytime Exploration empowers children to act with creativity and compassion. Founded on the Montessori philosophies of peace education and curiosity, students participate in fun, hands-on projects that combine music, art, and science. In each session, our young friends explore the world around them while reinforcing the importance of collaboration and kindness.

 

Art, Mindfulness, Yoga & the Art of Healthy Eating” Aug 21 – Aug 25

In partnership with KidPowerment, Kingsley’s innovative classes, deeply rooted in the foundation of yoga, empower kids to have strong bodies, focused minds, and brave hearts. with mindfulness activities, such as yoga, art, city nature walks. Art of Healthy Eating is a Boston-based program whose mission is to make healthy eating fun and accessible for children of all ages. AHE will teach three one hour sessions complemented by a program designed by our teachers to emphasize good nutrition in a fun and joyful way. Our classes provide children of all ages with an opportunity to create their own edible art out of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as learn about nutrition in a creative, age appropriate environment in the comfort of their classroom.


Elementary Program

Acoustical Engineers” Jun 26 - Jun 30

What is sound? How does sound behave? This week, young engineers will explore the world of acoustics, using materials in new ways to understand pitch, resonance, volume and timbre. Students will learn how sound waves travel and are manipulated by their environment through a variety of fun, hands-on projects.  

 

Explore Boston” Jul 5 - Jul 7

This new 3-day program will give students the opportunity to learn Boston by walking the Freedom Trail, exploring Science by the Charles River with a picnic, and visiting the Boston Public Library.

 

Elementary Design Academy” Jul 10 - Jul 21: Robotics & Engineering; Jul 24 - Aug 4: Civil Engineering; Aug 7 - Aug 18: Electrical Engineering


During each two-week thematic session, students flex their problem-solving skills, explore the city around them, and make friends through fun, hands-on activities. Students will turn their Boston neighborhood into a learning lab and use their unique experiences to inspire exciting projects. Each session will use a curriculum from the Museum of Science based on the particular program.
