Kingsley is in a very exciting period of growth and development
– and expansion! In September 2005, we acquired a newly
renovated, state-of-the art, historic building for our Elementary
program. We now span the Back Bay from Fairfield to Exeter Street!
Kingsley is a community of learners that provides continuing
opportunities for all members of our school to flourish. We recognize
the need for a community of educators, best-in-class professionals
who can work together to foster the greatest learning from students
and with each other as members of the Kingsley faculty and staff.
We seek teachers and administrators who are fully prepared to
meet the demands of the classroom, individual students and the
school’s advancement. We look to you for support of our
new directions as Kingsley continues to move forward.
Kingsley positions itself competitively as a school of first
choice among peer independent schools. We are committed to utilizing
the Montessori philosophy along with best education practices.
We are highly supportive of faculty and staff development, as
it sustains school-wide and individual growth and advancement.
Our faculty consists of Co-Head Teachers in the elementary program
in each of our classrooms. In the preschool division, our model
consists of Head Teachers and Assistant Teachers in each of our
five preschool classrooms and our one toddler (two-year old) program.
Most of our assistant teachers are Montessori interns. Kingsley
also employs Head Teachers for science and technology, art, music/drama,
physical education, library and Spanish. The School’s administration
consists of the Head of School, Division Directors for Early Childhood
and Elementary, Director of Finance & Operations, Director
of Development and the Admission Director.
Kingsley provides a rich, professional environment with well-trained,
highly motivated and committed teachers. The faculty shares a
genuine respect, love and understanding of the Montessori philosophy.
Kingsley supports faculty who value the importance of planning,
documenting and developing innovative curriculum to meet the needs
of each students.
