We hope that you and your family have comfortably settled into the school year at the Kingsley Montessori School. This is the time of year when the Committee on Trustees of the Kingsley Board looks to its parent body to help staff Board committees and identify potential new Board members.
The Board of Trustees approved a long-range plan for Kingsley that identifies goals and priorities of the school for the next few years. This plan is now being implemented. It is the job of the Board and the committees to make decisions and continue taking the necessary steps to make the goals of the plan a reality. In order to do this, it is important to identify members of the Kingsley community who may be interested in serving on one or more committees, as well as on the Board. We are delighted to have accomplished our primary goal of finding additional space for our burgeoning community. We now extend an open invitation for individuals, both from our community and outside, to help us realize the next goals — and the next. This is such an important time of institutional growth for Kingsley.
Among the priorities that the long-range plan identified are to strengthen and physically expand the Elementary program, ensure faculty excellence and improve the school's financial planning and fundraising effectiveness.
We seek and welcome the help of the parent community in this effort. We truly believe that the educational experience of your children is enhanced by parent participation. If you know anyone (including yourself or someone who isn't a parent at Kingsley) who has expertise that might benefit Kingsley and who would be interested in serving on a Board committee, kindly let us know by completing our New Leaders Form. While we have identified education, facilities management, law, fundraising/development, communications and finance professionals as people who currently might be of greatest assistance, we would like to hear from each of you about how your experience and knowledge could be of help to Kingsley.
